Greetings, all! I wanted to introduce myself before I begin delving into the real content of this blog. I've worked in the IT field for nearly 10 years, most of it focused on the security space. My primary focus has been in PKI and Identity Management, but I've also done extensive work in the Java/J2EE development space. Lately, I've spent a great deal of my time getting up to speed on Objective-C, particularly for iPhone development. I made the switch to a Mac last year (finally!) and haven't looked back. The last remnant of Windows-based technology I used was my Treo 700wx, but once it died I had the perfect excuse to get an iPhone.
This blog is designed to be a learning resource for all of the other iPhone developers, particularly those who are just starting out. I'm rather new to Objective-C, and it's been quite some time since I did any development in C-derived languages, so it's been rather fun dusting off the cobwebs on pointers and memory management. My hope is that I will regularly post useful tricks and hints, as well as talk about some of the issues that the typical iPhone developer will encounter.
I hope all of you readers enjoy the content you find here, and will post any comments or questions you may have. I'll do my best to answer!
